The CopyTrader EA runs in your own MetaTrader 4 or 5 and copies our master account's trades into your account. You never give anyone your broker password.
Start on a demo account. Check that everything works for a few days before using real money. Trading carries risk; copying does not guarantee the same results (different broker prices, spreads, timing).
What you need
- MetaTrader 4 or 5 from your broker, logged in to your account
- Your license key (from your account page on our website)
- A computer or VPS that stays on while markets are open (the EA only copies while MetaTrader is running)
1. Install the EA
- Log in on our website → My account → Download the EA for your platform (MT5:
.ex5, MT4:.ex4). - In MetaTrader: File → Open Data Folder → open
MQL5(MT4:MQL4) →Experts. Copy the file there. - In MetaTrader's Navigator panel, right-click Expert Advisors → Refresh.

2. Allow the connection to our server
Tools → Options → Expert Advisors:
- tick Allow algorithmic trading (MT4: "Allow automated trading")
- tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add:
https://api.trendtitanfx.com

Without this step the EA shows "URL not allowed" and cannot copy anything.
3. Attach the EA (one chart only)
- Open one chart, any symbol (e.g. EURUSD, any timeframe).
- Drag CT_Client onto it.
- Common tab: tick Allow Algo Trading (MT4: "Allow live trading").
- Inputs tab: paste your LicenseKey, choose your lot settings (below).
- Make sure the Algo Trading button in the toolbar is green (MT4: "AutoTrading").
Use only one chart: a second copy of the EA on the same account refuses to start (it would copy every trade twice).

4. Check the status panel

Lots are always rounded down to your broker's lot step. A trade that would be below your broker's minimum lot is skipped, never rounded up.
Protections that are always on: trades older than 10 seconds when the EA first sees them are not copied (no late entries at a worse price); if 3 or more trades close at the same moment the EA re-checks for 3 seconds before closing; while our master is offline nothing is opened or closed.
Good to know
- Closing a copy yourself: the EA will not reopen it. The rest keeps being copied.
- Changing SL/TP of a copy yourself: allowed; the EA keeps your levels until the master changes its own SL/TP.
- Account currency: any currency works (USD, EUR, JPY, cent accounts); Adaptive Risk Ratio converts automatically.
- Your own trades (other magic numbers) are never touched.
- Netting accounts (MT5, one position per symbol): several master trades on one symbol are merged. Don't trade
copied symbols by hand on a netting account, and SL/TP are only copied while one master trade is open on a symbol.
- Restarting MetaTrader or the computer is safe: the EA remembers which trades it copied.
- Different broker, different prices: SL/TP are copied as price levels; small differences between brokers are normal.
- Moving to a new broker account: contact us; we reset the key so it locks to your new account.
- Keep MetaTrader running. A VPS is recommended for 24/5 copying.
Uninstall
Remove the EA from the chart (right-click → Expert list → Remove). Open copies stay open; close them yourself if you want.
